Yayasan Selancar Arungi Indonesia (known as ARUNGI) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to foster equal opportunities to build resilient, adaptive communities in remote and vulnerable areas through local voice amplification and practical skill enhancement. ARUNGI continues the good work of SurfAid over the past 25 years in Indonesia, currently operating programs in Eastern Indonesia and headquartered in Denpasar, Bali

We are looking for an experienced and resourceful person with a positive “CAN DO” attitude to join the team as our:

HEAD OF PROGRAM AND IMPACT

As part of the Programs Team, the Head of Program and Impact is responsible for leading ARUNGI’s strategic program development, impact measurement, and operational excellence. The role will strengthen program design and implementation systems, ensure robust monitoring, evaluation, and impact accountability, and drive sustainable program growth to position ARUNGI as a trusted partner in remote community development across Indonesia.

THE PERSON:

You are an innovative and adaptive leader who can build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. You are also able to see the bigger picture while maintaining a hands-on approach to strengthening program quality and ensuring effective implementation across multiple locations. As part of ARUNGI’s Strategic Management Team, you will contribute to the organization’s strategic direction and work closely with SurfAid International, including providing input into its strategic development.

You are willing to travel frequently to support field teams, including visits to remote villages, and are comfortable working in very basic field conditions.

THE QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

• a postgraduate master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in relevant major with sufficient experience in development or humanitarian sector
• At least 15 years of experience in program management, advocacy, or leadership roles within a related NGO, some of which are in remote areas.
• Good understanding of program management principle and methodologies, including program budgeting and finances
• Good understanding of reporting frameworks, monitoring evaluation and learning systems
• Familiarity with any of the following topics: public health, Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture, MCH, nutrition, or water sanitation topics
• Strong people management skill
• Have analytical skills, strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Writing skills for reportings and proposals
• Clear communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently to field locations.
• Willing be work from Bali
