Job Title: Consultant (Natural Resource Economics)

Work Base: Greater Jakarta Area

Arrangement: Full-time & mainly remote working, with occasional offline meetings

Base Salary: Commensurate with skills and experiences

Expected Starting Date: ASAP

Sustainable Development Division at Daya Makara UI (DMUI) is seeking an experienced consultant to support its future works within the Green Economy along with Business and Finance space. DMUI is a multidisciplinary research and consulting institution in Universitas Indonesia. Even though this position is a full-time one, we will allow the selected individual to hold multiple professional responsibilities as long as he/she can deliver high-quality outputs. Flexible working hours are possible, except for obligatory coordination meetings.

Responsibilities

• Support in providing robust and unbiased economic analysis to the research across Environmental and Natural Resource work-streams
• Provide expert advice and assistance on economic analysis to ensure the research quality of team members, partners, and consultants
• Provide assistance for the project management document, such as implementation plan, research proposal, etc

Job Requirements

• At least a Master graduate from Environmental Economics, Natural Resource Economics, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Public Policy or other relevant majors (Applicants with bachelor degree will not be considered)
• Proven experience and/or background in economics or finance is a must– Familiarity with data processing through Excel and at least one statistical software (Stata, R, or Phyton) is a must
• Proven working experience within Green Economy, Blue Economy, Food Security, Water Security, Energy Transition, or Sustainable Finance space
• Currently residing in Greater Jakarta Area (or Jabodetabek)
• Familiarity with environmental valuation, economic modeling, or Geographic Information System would be a significant advantage
• Ability to travel when needed
• Being able to succeed at working independently or collectively with other colleagues
