JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT
WHO WE ARE
The Coral Triangle Center is an independent non-profit foundation registered in Indonesia that trains marine resource managers and educates all groups that interact with coastlines and reefs within the Coral Triangle. With a focus on customized training and enabling local communities, CTC supports marine protected areas, coordinate learning networks among MPA practitioners, women leaders and local government executives in the six countries of the Coral Triangle region as well as knowledge-sharing services to promote the sustainable management of the region’s rich marine heritage. CTC connects the public and private sector on coastal issues, and is developing a learning center of excellence in marine conservation in Bali.
The organization provides an unique and integrated learning portfolio based on the needs of professionals and stakeholders to manage their marine natural resources. The applied training and learning programs are adaptive, innovative and customized to abate threats, address constraints and promote sustainable practices. The center is open for the public and provides meeting & dive training pool facility, exhibitions and escape rooms.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Coral Triangle Center seeks a Junior Accountant to join the Finance team. This position is responsible for performing of daily operations of financial services at CTC, holding the petty cash and performs as a Cashier. Preparing the payments, preparing checks, preparing vouchers and supporting documents are required, both for the program / project activities and internal activities as well, such as electricity, telephone, internet, etc.
With the direct supervision of Finance Manager, S/he also support to the Finance Manager in recording financial transactions. S/he is also responsible for the keeping of the financial documents, support on preparing of the CTCs tax report and other duties such as Bank and others.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting; CPA preferred, or 2-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and understanding of fund accounting principles, practices and Tax regulations.
- May require in-dept working knowledge of grants accounting.
- Technical skills on accounting/financial issues.
- Solid knowledge and experience using and maintaining automated systems.
- Strong organizational skills and accuracy, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Job Type: Full-Time based in Sanur, Bali
Work Hours: The Junior Accountant will mostly be scheduled to work 5 days per week with weekend/holiday on-duty schedule and willingness to work flexible working hours
