Scholars Of Sustenance Indonesia Job Vacancy: Food Hunter (Partnership), Jakarta & Bali

SCHOLARS OF SUSTENANCE INDONESIA JOB VACANCIES 2024

Scholars Of Sustenance Indonesia (Yayasan Derma Atas Pangan) is a non profit organization that was established in 2016. The organization is based in Bali, an island known for its vibrant tourism industry. Specifically, SOS Indonesia operates in areas with a high concentration of hotels, including popular tourist spots such as Sanur, Kuta, Denpasar, and Legian.

The main focus of SOS Indonesia is to combat food waste and hunger by collecting surplus food from various sources. This includes partnering with hotels, supermarkets, bakeries, farms, and manufacturers to retrieve surplus food that might otherwise go to waste. We utilizes a range of transportation methods, including motor-cycle pickups and cooling trucks, to efficiently gather and distribute the collected food.

Given the traffic challenges in Bali, with a significant number of motorcycles on the streets, SOS Indonesia utilizes motor-cycle pickups in addition to other vehicles to navigate the traffic and effectively carry out their mission of rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to those in need.
