Yayasan Ishk Tolaram Indonesia is a philanthropic organization that provides access to quality education and healthcare to underserved individuals in Indonesia. We are part of Ishk Tolaram Foundation Ltd., based in Singapore. The Education Program Manager will manage the day-to-day educational initiatives of Yayasan Ishk Tolaram Indonesia.

Overview of Role

The Education Program Manager will support the Program Director (PD) in leading our educational initiatives in Indonesia. The role is based in Jakarta, with frequent travels to project site(s) and other locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and oversight of education programs on the ground, including managing relationships with vendors and other key stakeholders, under the guidance of the Program Director (PD)
  • Conduct academic research, including into Kurikulum Merdeka, Rapor Pendidikan, Komunitas Belajar, and beyond, as part of needs analysis to identify gaps and understand relevant stakeholders and ecosystems
  • Develop proposals, including timelines, budgets, and plans, for sustainable and scalable long-term success.
  • Conduct Monitoring and Evaluation based on Theory of Change to evaluate the program’s effectiveness, with support from the Program Director (PD)
  • Make site visits to project sites where necessary
  • Assess partners and conduct due diligence for alignment with intended program outcomes.
  • Manage data of education programs to ensure accuracy and accessibility for use in longitudinal studies and impact assessments
  • Collaborate with and enhance the capabilities of educational partners and stakeholders through strategic support
  • Engage with education-oriented stakeholders to ensure educational programs’ effective operation and growth.

Skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa and relevant local language(s).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Good command of IT, including MS Office, Google Workspace, and social media.
  • Sound academic research skills, including the ability to perform a thorough literature review and contribute ideas based on data, evidence, and best practices
  • Basic knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
  • Effective project management and basic financial abilities
  • Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of programs from end to end

Qualifications (Academic and Working Experience)

  • Minimum Education Level: Graduate/Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university. A Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in family philanthropy, grants management, operations, and compliance would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in this field

Working Base

This position will be based in Jakarta, with frequent travel to the project site as required. Applicants should be Indonesian Citizens.
