Job Title: Landscape Conservation Program Officer
Job Context
The Orangutan Foundation (OF-UK) is a non-profit organization based in London, with a mission to ensure the survival of orangutans in the wild, along with their natural habitats. OF-UK has been working to conserve orangutans and their habitats in Indonesia since 1990 and operates there under an MoU with the Ministry of Forestry Cq Directorate General of Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems (Ditjen KSDAE). To achieve its objectives, OF-UK carries out long-term programs focused on conservation, research and education.
General Overview
The LCP Officer supports the LCP Manager in planning, implementing, and monitoring landscape-level conservation activities aimed at protecting orangutans and their habitats. The position works closely with government agencies, particularly BKSDA Central Kalimantan, Forest Management Units (KPH), private sector concessionaires, local communities, and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen collaborative conservation efforts. The LCP Officer will also assist in biodiversity surveys, monitoring wildlife populations, spatial analysis, programme reporting, and the implementation of conservation strategies across OF-UK’s programme landscapes.
