SurfAid is a non-profit organization which aims to improve the health, wellbeing and self-resilience of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. SurfAid is currently working in a few locations in Indonesia: Mentawai Island District in West Sumatera, Sumba Barat and Rote Ndao Districts in NTT. We work in the areas that are considered the most remote, with limited infrastructure and few community empowerment programs working there.
We are looking for an experienced and resourceful person with a positive “CAN DO” attitude to join the team as our:
BEHAVIOUR CHANGE AND TRAINING SPECIALIST
The Behaviour Change and Training Specialist is responsible for increasing the quality of programmes and interventions through continuous program learning and development.
THE QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES:
- Minimum a master degree in relevant educational background such as communication or marketing or a bachelor degree with extensive experience in communication and marketing
- Minimum 5 years experience in implementing behavior change approach for remote communities
- Minimum 5 years working in non-government organization
- Have experience in developing modules or training guidelines
- Able to train others
- Have experience in in developing IEC materials or behaviour change tools and working with designers or communications team
- Clear communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Understanding of cultural aspects of development
- Analytical skills
- Understanding of project management methodologies
- Understanding of reporting frameworks
- Able to work independently
- Multi tasking, creative and resourceful CAN DO ATTITUDE!
- Approachable, empathetic, and cooperative
