Country Purpose:
Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003 and officially became Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sectors for the program include:
- Water and Sanitation
- Sustainable livelihood
- Education
- Child Welfare
- Shelter
- Disaster Risk Reduction
- Climate Change
The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and Jakarta Province will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.
Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking a Community Mobilizer based in East Lombok, NTB.
Job Purpose:
To support the effective implementation of sanitation and clean water programs at the field level, including strengthening water service systems, community empowerment initiatives, and ensuring the repayment of Islamic Microfinance (MFS) financing under the SWASPRO and PK3M projects
Responsibilities:
A. Field Facilitator for Sanitation and Clean Water Programs
- Continue and ensure the implementation of sanitation and clean water programs in accordance with the established work plan.
- Conduct data collection and verification of Rights Holders, particularly for water resource-based livelihood programs.
- Ensure that the KPSPAM or PAMDES team:
- Implements the installation of water pipeline networks in a phased and sustainable manner;
- Installs water meters for targeted priority households.
- Ensure that the KPSPAM team carries out:
- Routine maintenance of water reservoirs;
- Proper operation and maintenance of sky hydrants to ensure optimal functionality.
- Facilitate follow-up activities, including:
- Training on sky hydrant maintenance;
- Construction of toilets for priority households in accordance with program targets.
B. Financial Management
- Manage and collect installment payments for:
- Water meter financing;
- Water resource-based household livelihood enterprises;
- PK3M Islamic Microfinance (MFS) financing.
- Record and document all payment transactions accurately, systematically, and accountably.
- Coordinate with the cooperative regarding financial reporting and payment progress updates.
C. Coordination and Communication
- Serve as the liaison between Kopwansyah MAM and:
- Rights Holders;
- Village government authorities;
- KPSPAM teams;
- PK3M teams.
- Support effective communication and coordination among stakeholders involved in program implementation.
- Communicate program information clearly and transparently to community members.
D. Monitoring and Supervision
- Monitor the utilization of clean water facilities by community members to ensure they are used in accordance with program objectives.
- Ensure that water-related facilities and accessories stored at the village office are utilized responsibly and effectively.
- Conduct regular field monitoring of:
- Water pipeline network conditions;
- Functionality of water meters;
- Utilization of toilets by beneficiaries.
E. Reporting
- Prepare regular field activity reports on a monthly basis.
- Report on:
- Program achievements;
- Field-level challenges and issues;
- Recommendations for follow-up actions.
- Maintain proper documentation of program activities, including photographs, Rights Holder data, and other relevant records.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or bachelor’s degree (S1) in Community Development, Agriculture, Livestock/Fisheries, Economics, Social Welfare, or other related fields.
- Knowledge of Community Economic Empowerment approaches or the Ultra-Poor Graduation approach is an advantage.
- Understanding of Islamic Microfinance (MFS) principles or Sharia-based revolving fund mechanisms.
- Strong facilitation and community mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and utilize digital data collection applications.
- Willingness to travel regularly to program locations and work in rural communities.
Desirable Qualifications
- Good understanding of the socio-cultural context of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
- Ability to ride a motorcycle and possession of a valid motorcycle driving license (SIM C).
- Ability to communicate in local languages spoken within the program area.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in Suela Sub-district, East Lombok, or nearby areas.
