PROJECT COORDINATOR

Rikolto in Indonesia runs its Good Food for Cities programme in 4 cities in Indonesia: Denpasar, Surakarta, Depok and Bandung. Focusing on key supply chains and the wider urban food environment, Rikolto’s Good Food for Cities programme globally will catalyze collective action among local actors in small, intermediary, and metropolitan cities and territories, by taking into account 3 key elements in the designing and implementing the programme: 1) Sustainable production, 2) Inclusive market and 3) Enabling environment. The GF4C programme is implementing sustainable food production for school food procurement, with aims to strengthen the connections between smallholder farmers practicing regenerative agriculture and school food procurement systems, where developing inclusive, climate-smart business models , the initiative will enhance farmer livelihoods and sustainable productions are accessible for citizens.
To strengthen the sustainable agricultural production with the market, Rikolto in Indonesia is hiring a position to coordinate the linkage between production and the market, for this functions we are seeking a motivated and result oriented individual who is passionate about sustainable agricultural production in the context of development sectors to fill the position of Project Coordinator, based in Denpasar, Bali.
JOB OVERVIEW
Project Coordinator will focus and responsible for the designing, planning and implementing of the sustainable food production for Healthy School Food procurement by focusing on inclusive business approach under the GF4C Programme. The Project coordinator will use this approach to ensure that the food system works for all parties, not only encompasses fair business relationships, but also creates a food environment that enables everyone, including women and young people, and smallholder-farmers to develop their full potential.
Under the supervision of GF4C Programme Manager, the project coordinator shall make efforts to build a sustainable food chain by consider cross-sector collaboration as an important part of realizing a fair and competitive food system transformation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring the projects deliverables, scopes, timeline and budget.
Development and Implementation on Inclusive Business Model and Regenerative Agriculture
- Development of Inclusive Business model strategy (approach, methodologies and providing guidelines/manuals which aligned with Rikolto’s regional strategy on inclusive business.
- Identifying the potential business development with partners in four cities (Denpasar, Surakarta, Depok, Bandung) include identification of resource for implementation of strategy.
- Development and promote the regenerative agriculture initiatives to support the healthy school food procurement
- Produce and guarantee the quality of inclusive business training / modules and its execution within the prescribed deadlines following the project outcomes.
- Periodically review the implementation and address any obstacle arise.
Facilitate market access and Analysis of Investment
- Facilitate the intervention strategies for business development and model distribution in 4 cities with partners.
- Conduct Return on Investment analysis
- Design financial readiness and needs assessment
- Develop fund mobilization plan
Monitoring & Learning
- Document best practices and lessons learnt from the project implementation
- Analyse and ensure project indicators are well monitored and documented.
- Coordinating learning spaces and knowledge management initiative;
- Identifying of best practices and sharing them with the other relevant units (i.e Communication, programme development, cost and benefit, …) for dissemination and in-depth documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement and Networking
- Identification of potential actors for business engagement
- Initiate and conduct multi-stakeholders dialogue, learning and sharing initiatives on project initiatives and its results.
Team Collaborations
- Rikolto in Indonesia; ensuring compliance with the Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics to safeguard its organisational reputation.
- Closely working as a team towards shared objectives and contributing as well outside the own work field;
- Collaborate with other respected unit to ensure adequate support for smooth programme operations.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in a business development management, agri-business or other relevant field;
- Affinity with Monitoring & Evaluation and Programme Management;
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in market systems facilitation, agribusiness, entrepreneurship
- Bachelor degree in a business development management, agri-business or other relevant field;
- Understanding of MEL tools such as Link Methodology, Theory of Change, Most Significant Change or others;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (ideally familiar with O365) Proficient in MS Office Excel is priority, also familiar with Office 365 operation;
- Ability to initiate or facilitate learning processes;
- Affinity with sustainable agriculture, sustainable food systems;
Specific Skills required:
- Design of surveys/data collection method and qualitative studies;
- Data processing with Excel or other MEL tools
- Design, implementation and evaluation of participatory assessments.
- Report writing (in Bahasa Indonesia and English);
- Design of gender-sensitive research methods and generation of gender and youth-disaggregated data and reports
