Yayasan Ishk Tolaram Indonesia is a philanthropic organization that provides access to quality education and healthcare to underserved individuals in Indonesia. We are part of Ishk Tolaram Foundation Ltd., based in Singapore.

Overview of the role:

The Program Manager (Healthcare) helps to lead the eyecare programs of Yayasan Ishk Tolaram and the business development of PT Ishk Medica Indonesia. The role is based in Jakarta, frequently traveling to the project site or any other location when needed, and supports the Deputy Program Director (DPD).

Responsibilities

Business Process Optimization

  • Set up business processes to support eye care facilities and overall business operations.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of business processes, identify bottlenecks, and conduct in-depth analyses for informed decision-making and process enhancement.
  • Support the development of:
  • A robust financial model and system to sustain the long-term operation of the eye clinic business
  • Comprehensive financial risk management and mitigation processes in line with regulation to safeguard financial integrity

Project Management and Execution

  • Support DPD in conducting due diligence and executing activities to complete the construction and set-up operations of the eye clinic.
  • Oversee the execution of healthcare grants in Indonesia, including but not limited to grant inception, due diligence, partner meetings, reporting, and site visits.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support DPD in engaging with external stakeholders to ensure the eye care program delivers impact
  • Support research related to compliance and government policies to support program implementation
  • Prepare communication for internal staff-level and leadership/board meetings and follow up on action items
  • Travel to needful locations to support implemented programs, report issues to DPD, and measure outcomes alongside other organizations/partners.
  • Represent the Foundation at relevant forums.

The Program Manager is additionally expected to:

For all the above, guidance is provided by the Programs Team as needed. Program Managers report to Deputy Program Directors (DPD) within the focus geography.

Skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa and relevant local language(s). Excellent written and spoken English is preferred
  • Fluent in communication and presentation skills (written and spoken)
  • Good command of IT, including MS Office, G Suite, and social media.
  • Good academic research skills, with an ability to contribute ideas based on evidence and best practices
  • Good finance skills, including leading budgeting processes and, preferably, accounting and financial analysis
  • Good knowledge of local and global socioeconomic and political issues
  • Basic knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements

Qualifications (Academic and Working Experience)

  • Minimum Education Level: University Graduate from a reputable university. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • It is ideal if you have a prior background in the following areas: profit business/business enterprise, family foundation/philanthropic, grants management, Operations and Compliance, or organization business processes.
  • Minimum prior work experience of 8 – 10 years.

Working Base

This position will be based in Jakarta, with frequent travels to the project site as required. The candidate will need to be an Indonesian citizen.
