MSH started working in Indonesia in 1980 with a focus on improving child health, decentralizing health services, expanding access to care and treatment for TB, and strengthening pharmaceutical management. In 2023, MSH was awarded the five-year USAID BEBAS-TB activity to reduce TB incidence and mortality by addressing critical gaps and challenges in the TB program. This activity builds on the work of previous USAID projects and aims to improve access and utilization of quality and patient-centered comprehensive TB services. To achieve the objectives, MSH is looking for a Health Financing for Tuberculosis (TB).

Scope of Work:

The Provincial Senior Project Associate will work closely under the supervision of the Provincial Manager and in coordination with the technical lead at the provincial level to ensure all USAID BEBAS TB activities are implemented in line with the work plan, on time, and within budget in a quality manner that engages stakeholders from all levels of the health system in the process and promotes long term sustainability. The Provincial Senior Project Associate will coordinate closely with the Support teams to ensure sufficient and timely assistance to the technical team to implement the activities.

The Provincial Senior Project Associate will provide administrative support to the technical team and through the use of the admin management system, ensure efficient and effective use of MSH/Donor resources for the purposes intended. They will ensure compliance with the MSH/Donor procedures, guidelines, and rules.

This position is based in North Sumatra and West Java

How will you accomplish this?

  • Provide financial and administrative support to the Technical/Program Team.
  • Provide operational support for example ensuring the smooth organization of seminars/conferences/workshops, training, and meetings (external and internal).
  • Coordinate document flow and organization, purchasing supplies, arranging travels and events, equipment and furniture, and communication.
  • Ensure trackers are updated and support the process of compiling reports.
  • This list is not exhaustive, Provincial Senior Project Associate will be expected to carry out other duties as assigned to achieve the outcomes desired by our client and needed by the people the project aims to serve.

Specific requirements for this role would be:

Education:

  • Diploma 3 or bachelor’s degree from a reputable University majoring in administration, finance/Accounting, business, or other related majors.

Experience:

  • 4 years of relevant and progressive experience in Administration, finance admin, or any related admin areas
  • Experience in a USG or donor-funded project or in an NGO preferred.
  • Experience in the use of QuickBooks and Deltek Costpoint.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies including but not limited to sourcing/ tendering.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills especially when working under pressure.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
  • Detail oriented, strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining an individual workload.
  • Monitoring/assessing self-performance to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Planning and scheduling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients, and consultants.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
  • Professional written and spoken proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
