About Kurawal Foundation:

Kurawal Foundation is a Jakarta-based not-for-profit organization that aims to promote democracy
values, institutions, and practices in Indonesia and abroad. The foundation is a donor’s intermediary agency that serves civil society organizations and broader pro-democracy movements in developing new ideas, initiatives, and endeavors to strengthen democracy.

Purpose of Position:

HRGA Officer is a full-time position reporting to the Finance and HR Manager of the foundation’s executive office. Working in the Finance and HR Department, the HRGA Officer is responsible for all HR and operational administration aspects of the organization. HRGA will contribute to monitoring and guide the implementation of HR and administration components. He/she oversees all daily HR administrative and operational tasks of the office. Administrative coordination that includes among others human resources administration, travel management, event management, and office management (including office supplies, office maintenance, machinery/equipment support).

Key Responsibilities:

HR Roles

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of HR-related policies and procedures.
  • Administer the full cycle of talent acquisition and onboarding processes for new hires (both staff
    and foundation organs).
  • Administer the executive office’s yearly Performance Management & Development (PMD) process
  • Administer the implementation of staff’s learning and development plans.
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans, such as payroll, social welfare contributions, and
    private insurance.
  • Organize and maintain all respective HR files and documents, both physical and digital.
  • Acts as a focal point for HR management issues including grievance issues, conflict management, etc.
  • Involve with the management of staff disengagement (Ex: resignation, retirement, and termination).
  • Assists with other queries for specific HR-related projects.
    Office Operational
  • Coordinates travel management.
  • Manage events including logistics, accommodation, etc.
  • Manage and control inventory for office supplies, equipment (fixed-asset), and other goods/services
  • Oversees office facility management.
  • Handle procurement of office supplies, equipment, and other goods/services,

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree required, majoring in Administration, Management, or Human Resources will be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years experience in human resources.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of NGO/not-for-profit sector management and operations will be an advantage
  • Knowledgeable about updated Indonesian Labor Law. especially related to not-forprofit, and experienced in managing employees’ policies
  • Experience in procurement, asset & inventory management
  • Detail-oriented and accurate. High standard of personal and professional integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive in managing work priorities, juggle competing tasks, and work with minimum supervision.
  • Good written and verbal communication, liaison and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a small team. A good command of English will be preferable.
