Islamic Relief Job Vacancy: CWP Casual Assistant / Support Orphan Sponsorship Program, NTB

ISLAMIC RELIEF JOB VACANCIES 2024

CWP Casual Assistant / Support Orphan Sponsorship Program (OSP)

NTB Field Office

Background and Justification

The Sponsorship Program (OSP) is designed to provide consistent and comprehensive support and services to its beneficiaries, particularly focusing on the welfare and protection of children, especially orphans and families benefiting from the program. This ongoing support ensures the program operates in a way that prioritizes these vulnerable groups. The OSP program at the NTB field office has been active since 2014, with a current total of 943 sponsored children as of August 25, 2024, and an additional 52 orphans on the waiting list. Currently, two CWP Officers manage the program at the NTB office, down from the original four officers, as one is on maternity and postnatal leave, and another resigned to continue his education.

To ensure the effective execution of the OSP Program, it is essential to add an additional staff member to meet the resource demands in the NTB regional office. This need stems from the necessity of recruiting a casual employee who can support the tasks currently managed by the two officers, given the extensive coverage area and the large number of children that surpass the officers’ capacity. The urgency to recruit OSP casual support is heightened by the fact that 90% of the primary tasks, such as visits and the preparation of Annual Progress Reports (APR), have already been completed in the NTB region. The additional casual support will assist the two active officers in the OSP program, helping with administrative tasks, field visits, and other necessary duties.

The addition of OSP Casual Asst / Support is expected to ease the burden on the two OSP Officers, allowing them to more effectively and swiftly meet the program’s demands. This support will also help manage the increasing number of sponsored orphans, ensuring that services provided to OSP beneficiaries in the West Nusa Tenggara regional office are timely, high-quality, and satisfactory.
