RECRUITMENT FIELD FACILITATOR – NON-STAFF
Background / Introduction
Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty.
Sustainable Livelihood Recovery Through Islamic Social Enterprise (SULRISE) project with hope disaster affected communities including women, boys, and girls will have better live after generating income sustainably from the prospective livelihood sources they are developing facilitated by the project has 2 outcomes including increased disaster-affected HHs’ income (1,500 HHs) in Central Sulawesi through provided sustainable livelihood assistance by the end of the project which has 9 outputs and Enhanced functionality of Self Help Group to serve and foster business incubation, financial revolving, monitoring, and mentoring of communities’ livelihood viability by the end of the project has 4 outputs.
Administratively, the working area in the SULRISE project is currently in 9 areas with 2 field staff, namely Tondo, Balaroa, Petobo, Duyu, Pombewe with additional areas namely Kalukubula, Sidera, Mpanau and Kotarindau. The 9 regions are expected to have 1500 Right Holders (RHs) spread across all these areas, but as of November 06, 2023, the number of RHs is still 1115 and the addition is still ongoing and will be published in the first week of December 2023. The large number of RHs with the distribution of areas makes field staff not optimal because of overlapping schedules and activities in the area so that additional resources are needed to be responsible for managing RHs and supporting activities in the area.
Objective
The purpose includes:
- There are 2 resources (field facilitator – non-staff) that can support activities to achieve project outputs
- There is a person in charge of the area and RHs in the Kalukubula, Sidera, Mpanau and Kotarindau areas
Output
Adding resources to this project through recruitment field facilitators (non-staff) to contribute to all activities and outputs in outcome 1 and outcome 2
Methodolgy
This recruitment process will be carried out with an open method , namely finding candidates through external means of the organization. The method used is to post vacancies online. This is based on consideration of the role of media/digital that is growing and can be accessed and reached by more people. In addition, because candidates are also expected to have technological literacy and the use of technological equipment. To complete this, here are the qualifications and how to apply for the position:
Overall Responsibility
The Community Mobilizer Livelihood role is to assist the Project Officer to support the implementation of the livelihood program under coordination with the Area Coordinator
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identification and selection Rights Holders in areas
- Conduct assessment in the field to identify RH’s needs guided by assessment tools
- Build communication and coordination with the community leader, elderly, village office, and other stakeholders
- Engage with the targeted communities through regular visits, informal dialogues, and other forms of communications
- Organize community meetings related to project activities
- Organize awareness-raising activities for communities relevant to the project’s aim
- Facilitate community meetings or workshops to establish community organizations including group, cooperatives, self-help groups, etc. with organization office bearers and statute.
Skills & Requirements:
- University graduate in relevant studies
- Minimum 1-2 years in relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, working as a team member
- Strong initiative and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principle
- Ability to multitask with competing demands under tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point)
- Strong interest in development work with respect for confidentiality and commitment to YRII overall aims and objectives, including gender, equality and equal opportunities in all aspects of Islamic Relief’s work.
