Food for the Hungry Indonesia is an independent non-governmental organization based in Medan, North Sumatra and operates in North Sumatra Province and the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra Province. Food for the Hungry Indonesia started working in Indonesia after the December 2004 tsunami killed 283,000 people. Food for the Hungry Indonesia worked with devastated communities to help them rebuild their lives and homes. In 2011, Food for the Hungry Indonesia began a long-term development work and currently we are working to address all forms of human poverty, visible and invisible through livelihood, education, health and DRR sectors. Our purpose is graduating communities from extreme poverty.

Yayasan Fondasi Hidup (FH Indonesia) is seeking the following positions:
Business Development Manager, 1 position
Location: Jakarta
Purpose of position:
The Business Development Manager leads his/her Unit in donor partnership relationships and resource acquisition. S/he will be responsible for the development and execution of the resource mobilization strategy of the Country Office.
The Business Development Manager strategizes on how to position the organization, leverages existing priorities, and analyzes growth opportunities. S/he reports to the Country Director and makes decisions that lead to changes in organizational direction and funding sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum experience of 5-8 years specifically in institutional (bilateral, multilateral, other) grant acquisition experience and business development.
- Proposal management experience preferred, including experience facilitating Go No Go decisions, leading proposal kick-off meetings, managing cross-functional proposal teams, creating proposal calendars and ensuring adherence to proposal timelines, coordinating proposal reviews, ensuring responsiveness to funder requirements and evaluation criteria, etc.
- Experience in establishing successful donor and stakeholder cultivation and engagement strategies;
- Experience working with INGOs, preferably with development and/or relief organizations;
- Experience developing proposals in Education, FSL, Health & Nutrition, Protection, and DRR;
- Experience managing a team for business development or fundraising;
- Background with fundraising and partnerships with corporate and/or individual donors (desirable)
General Affair (GA)Coordinator, 1 position
Location: Medan
Purpose of position:
The GA Coordinator serves Yayasan Fondasi Hidup by providing strategic leadership in the GA unit. GA Coordinator will be responsible for General Affair in Yayasan Fondasi Hidup. General Administrative Coordinator oversees all support and clerical work within the organization. The Coordinator supervises day-to-day support activities, coordinates clerical tasks, and lead teams of administrative officers which includes office operational management, at the same time also works with management and support staff to assess and improve administrative processes and enhance efficiency
Qualifications:
- Excellent people skills including warmth and sensitivity, conversational, able to relate to and effectively communicate with people from different cultures (at various levels within the organization);
- High integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics;
- Able to self-manage a diverse and dynamic set of responsibilities, proactively solve problems and / or suggest viable solutions while advancing goals and objectives;
- Demonstrated computer operating skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Google platform, and virtual technologies such as Skype and / or Zoom -;
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to plan and coordinate work, ensure the efficient flow of projects and processes;
- Strong people management skills / interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, teach and mentor staff and volunteers;
- Comfortable and persuasive when speaking before both large and small groups;
- Ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization and across organizational and cultural boundaries.
- Medical fitness to travel in rural and urban areas with extreme conditions and limited medical support;
- Ability to travel up to 20% of time per year in the country and internationally, including possibility to insecure countries or locations
- Proven field experience for at least 5 years in at least in General Affair, Finance, Human Resources and Legal
- Academic training in Management or relevant areas. Graduate degree (Masters or higher) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
