Cocoa Sustainability Partnership Job Vacancy: Campaign Lead, Jakarta – Indonesia

COCOA SUSTAINABILITY PARTNERSHIP JOB VACANCIES 2025

Position: Campaign Lead

Background

Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP) is a public-private partnership platform established in 2006, aiming to improve communication and cooperation among stakeholders actively involved in sustainable cocoa development initiatives in Indonesia. The CSP is comprised of representatives from national and regional governments, cocoa and chocolate processing companies, cocoa associations, traders, NGOs, universities, research institutes, and regional cocoa forums. CSP Secretariat is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Campaign Lead. CSP will offer a great career challenge in the very dynamic multi-stakeholder organization, a competitive salary, and an opportunity for better knowledge and experiences. This is a full-time post and will be based in the Jakarta office.

Responding to the SWITCH-ASIA promoting sustainable consumption and production (support to the greening of value chains), the action will respond to the global objective of transforming the region to a low-carbon and resource-efficient economy whilst promoting more sustainable value chains and products. Fostering consumer practices that minimize environmental and social impacts and working with the hospitality and retail industries to promote the broad accessibility of sustainably sourced food products contributes to this global objective. More specifically, the project will directly address supporting local consumers in acting more responsibly by choosing low-carbon and environmentally and socially sustainable products and services. It will engage with consumers on low-carbon practices and sustainable consumption and production practices.

The main objective of the action is to increase the sustainable production of coffee, cocoa, tea, and palm oil in Indonesia, thereby contributing to Indonesia’s progress towards the ‘UNEP 10 YFP’ – the UNEP ten-year framework of programs on sustainable consumption and production patterns. Ultimately, the action will reduce the negative environmental and social impacts of domestic food consumption in Indonesia. The initiative focuses on the commodities coffee, cocoa, tea, and palm oil, primarily in Yogyakarta and Bali, targeting the hospitality (hotels and restaurants) and retail (selected supermarkets) sectors as ‘low-hanging fruit.’. The consortium consists of co-applicants Rainforest Alliance, the Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP), and the Sustainable Coffee Platform of Indonesia (SCOPI), who will use their existing leverage, expertise, and broad networks amongst consumers, suppliers, and producers to contribute to this objective.
