Yayasan Nurani Luhur Masyarakat (YNLM), an Indonesian civil society organization based in Medan, has been implementing projects in Lombok and North Sumatra, focusing on mother, Child and Mental Health. The project aims to contribute to enabling people to improve their living conditions and their communities’ living conditions.

Currently, YNLM is accepting applications for the following positions related to its project:

  • Job Title: Finance Accounting Coordinator
  • Reports To: Operational Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Finance & Accounting
  • Ensure that financial functions are well-organised projecting professional financial management and efficiency, and producing complete and accurate financial and management accounts;
  • Responsible for monitoring and compliance for Financial Rules and Procedures as well as ensuring that Accounting and Finance SOPs are being fully implemented
  • Provide direct support to the Operational Manager on all financial matters, including advice and recommendations on financial strategy for the organisation
  • Ensure effective use of resources across the programmes, which may include preparation of budget proposals, management of cash and bank books, development of timely management information and budget monitoring
  • Responsible for the development of internal & external financial reports and coordination of external and internal audits of the foundations
  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Manage invoices and payment process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and prepared properly
  • Reconciling bank statements, general ledger, and other accounts to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: A bachelor’s degree preferably from Accounting

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting

Skills:

  • Prior experience with specific accounting software or systems (e.g., ABSS  System) is preffered
  • Strong understanding of financial, accounting, and tax systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and internet
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Very good command of English Language is required
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, take initiative, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility.
