Training Officer for RISE Foundation Program in Indonesia

ABOUT YAYASAN KEMITRAAN KERJA (YKK) FOUNDATION
The Yayasan Kemitraan Kerja (YKK) Foundation was established in 2016 by the ILO Better Work Indonesia Programme as a sustainability strategy to ensure the continuation of the program’s successful initiatives. Since 2017, Yayasan Kemitraan Kerja has been the exclusive implementing partner of Better Work Indonesia Program for garment sector in Indonesia. We work closely with our constituents, which are the local governments, factories and employers’ associations, trade unions, and international organizations to implement impactful programs across Indonesia.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Yayasan Kemitraan Kerja is seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Officer for the implementation of the RISE Foundation Program in Indonesia. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the RISE foundation program is achieved in accordance with the project framework and following the project timeline.
RISE Foundations program is blend of RISE LEGACY Programs from Gap Inc. P.A.C.E and BSR HER project with a worker rights and responsibility component from ILO Better Work. It aims to increase women’s agency, improve gender attitudes and build women and men workers’ capacity on basic health, sexual and reproductive health and financial literacy.
The Training Officer is responsible to manage the implementation of the training activities and to ensure the objectives and outputs of the program is achieved in a timely and effective manner.
Supervision and Guidance
The Training Officer for RISE Foundation Program will work under the general supervision of Senior Training Coordinator, and report directly to the Training Team Leader.
Roles and responsibilities:
Preparation phase:
- Taking part in the scheduled Training of Trainer (TOT) as part of the preparation phase
- Provide inputs to the training curriculum and modules to enhance training effectiveness
Training Delivery:
- Conduct Peer Educators (PEs) selection and training for approximately 3-5% of workplace employees (70% women) as peer educators (PEs). Ensure that the PEs has the capacity to deliver and replicate the training to their peers through peer-to-peer awareness sessions.
- Conduct workshop with relevant stakeholders to Conduct workshops to disseminate information about the project, expectations, and timeline, and to identify potential challenges early on.
Impact Assessment Activities:
- Conduct Baseline and Endline surveys to measure changes in knowledge and perceptions at the start and end of the project.
- Ensure the timely submission of progress report and data updates following the reporting requirements, including updates on training sessions, challenges encountered, and progress towards program goals.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Organize and facilitate mid-term meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and learnings, and a closing meeting to present the Endline Survey results and the Sustainability Action Plan.
- Collect monitoring and evaluation data following the required formats.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain regular communication and updates with factory management and relevant stakeholders through scheduled meetings and updates.
- Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of training initiatives.
Resource Management:
- Manage training resources, including materials, budgets, and logistics, to ensure efficient project delivery.
Support to the overall training program as assigned
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development organizations
Preferably have worked or have knowledge of the garment sector
Skills:
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
- Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation techniques.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Language: Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Other: Willingness to travel within Central Java and West Java.
