Overview of the role:

The Program Officer (Healthcare) plays a pivotal role in supporting the eyecare programs of Yayasan Ishk Tolaram and the business endeavors of PT Ishk Medica Indonesia. Based in Jakarta with frequent travel, this position supports the Program Director (PD) in various capacities to implement programs and partnerships effectively.

Responsibilities

Support the Program Director in collating and building our Eye Care’s program’s internal business processes, including but not limited to:

  • Liaise with external key stakeholders, partners, vendors, consultants, and other third parties for any required processes.
  • Collate and compile the necessary information, policy, and other documents for building the internal processes.
  • Preparing necessary documentation needed for further discussion or approval.
  • Support the Program Director in maintaining communication and relationships with partners or grantees, including but not limited to due diligence, partner meetings, monitoring grant disbursement, collecting and compiling grantee reports, and Project Site monitoring visits.
  • Support the Program Director in maintaining communication and relationships with external stakeholders to ensure that the eye care program delivers impact.
  • Assist the Program Director in conducting and collating research related to compliance and government policies to support program implementation.
  • Support the Program Director in engaging with external stakeholders to ensure the eye care program delivers impact.
  • Prepare communication for internal staff-level and leadership/board meetings and follow up on action items.

The Program Officer is additionally expected to:

For all the above, guidance is provided by the Programs Team as needed. The Program Officer reports to the Program Directors (PD) within the focus geography.

Skills

  • Fluency in written and spoken Bahasa and relevant local language(s); excellent English proficiency preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in IT tools, including MS Office, G Suite, and social media.
  • Good academic research skills, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
  • Knowledgeable about local and global socioeconomic and political issues.
  • Basic understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications (Academic and Working Experience)

  • Minimum Education Level: University Graduate from a reputable institution.
  • Ideally, prior background or experience in profit business, philanthropy, grants management, operations, compliance, or organizational business processes.
  • Minimum prior work experience of 4-6 years.

Working Base

Position based in Jakarta with frequent travel to project sites.

Indonesian citizenship is required.
