Protecting Urban Refugees through Empowerment (PURE) Program

PROGRAM OFFICER – PROTECTION : 1 position based in Jakarta

Yayasan Cita Wadah Swadaya (YCWS) is a faith-based organization with a mission to transform communities through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, migration, and disaster. Registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (MoLHR) in August 2024, YCWS is a non-profit organization working in the sector of social & humanitarian, providing assistance to the most vulnerable, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.

YCWS is implementing a project aiming to assist refugees and asylum seekers in the Greater Jakarta Area to access basic services, such as health care, and provide vocational training and education. This project is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM).

THE ROLE:

The Program Officer-Child Protection (PO-CP) is required to support YCWS in establishing child friendly and supportive environment for unaccompanied and separated children (UASC), children at risk and child survivors by enhancing child protection mechanisms. The Program Officer-Protection is responsible for ensuring effective case management focusing on Women and Girls at-risk (WAGAR) according to UNHCR standard operating procedures and YCWS approach.
