INTERN – COMMUNICATIONS: 1 position based in Jakarta

Yayasan Cita Wadah Swadaya (YCWS) is a faith-based organization committed to transforming lives through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, refugee crises, and disasters. YCWS is a non-profit organization working in the sector of social & humanitarian, registered in the MoLHR in August 2024. YCWS assists the most vulnerable, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.

YCWS Indonesia is currently focusing on 3 core program areas:

  • Refugee Protection and Assistance
  • Disaster Preparedness and Response
  • Climate Resilience

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Communication Intern will assist Knowledge Management and Communication Specialist in the following aspects:

  • Assist in the creation and execution of YCWS’ communication strategies.
  • Help develop content and graphic design for YCWS’ digital platforms, including social media (Instagram, LinkedIn), and website updates, etc.
  • Help produce printed publications, branded materials, videos, photographs, web materials etc
  • Ability to create creative content and follow social media trends.
  • Monitor and report on YCWS’ communication campaign performance, including social media engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current student or recent graduate in Communications (Public Relations, Advertising, or related fields).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian.
  • Familiarity with CapCut and Canva is a must.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to brainstorm and generate new ideas.
  • A genuine interest in and curiosity about Non-Profit Organization (NGO) sectors.
