Background

United In Diversity Foundation (UID) or Yayasan Upaya Indonesia Damai is an Indonesian non-profit organization that aims to build trust and inspire leaders from tri-sector (Government, Business, and Civil Society) to co-create a happier sustainable future for all. United In Diversity was founded in 2003 and operates as an educational platform to convene the tri-sectors in a multi-stakeholder learning process.

By 20 years of dedication, UID has continued to grow its leadership capacity in various demographic contexts and profiles which we believe will help to inherit a better Indonesia, through several flagship programs in collaboration with a wide range of tri-sectoral stakeholders.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of work experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
  • 2-5 years in the Area of Non-Profit, social enterprise, mission-based businesses. Professional roles, experiences, or fields that could help in this role may include, but are not limited to:
    • Lecturer, instructor, or facilitator in the adult learning process.
    • Stakeholders engagement officer;
    • Communication, campaign, and advocacy officer.
    • Junior consultant in a business management consulting firm.
    • Program officer in the multi-stakeholder project.
      • Strong critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis, especially with qualitative data.
      • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
      • Articulate, structured, and engaging in thinking, writing, and speaking.
      • Strong proposal and report writing especially for donor- or client-funded projects relating to SDGs.
      • Sound project management skills using virtual collaborative work platforms.
      • Effective coordination, collaboration, and communication skills to support agile and cohesive teamwork.
      • Organized in knowledge management using virtual collaborative work platforms.
      • Computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office and tech-assisted collaborative platforms is a must.
      • Possessing a keen eye for visual design and proficiency with design software.
      • Willing to travel outside the office and ready to engage in on-site activities

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Learning Facilitator will take the responsibility to:

  • Support the Senior Facilitator in capturing the complexity of any given systemic challenge and translating it into a process design and program delivery that will enable deep transformative changes.
  • Create, maintain, and organize documents and materials that allow emerging thinking and insights to be more tangible and readily accessible for collective learning, including proposals and concept notes, reports, and other program-related writing.
  • Manage the administrative aspects of program development and delivery both externally (with partners and/or clients) and internally (with UID internal management and operation team).
  • Provide on-the-ground support during program implementation, including overseeing logistical readiness and serving in a co-facilitation role.
  • Support the design and delivery of programs that cultivate and activate UID’s network of fellows and partners to broaden our impact.
  • Be responsible in pursuing knowledge and practices that support growth as a facilitator of awareness-based systems change and social innovation, including deepening personal leadership practices, keeping current on global and national sustainability issues, and expanding your knowledge of leadership and systems change methods and tools.
  • Provide other support to the team and organization as necessary in response to emerging opportunities and responsibilities
