The Digital Campaigner designs and executes high-impact digital campaigns that accelerate the clean and equitable energy transition by mobilizing communities, shifting public opinion, and compelling policymakers to act. Through the strategic use of social media, email campaigns, and digital advertising, this role transforms online engagement into real-world policy wins.
As part of the campaign team, the Digital Campaigner collaborates across divisions to craft compelling narratives, create viral content, and orchestrate digital actions that drive measurable change. This position leverages data analysis to maximize campaign effectiveness and continuously amplify impact.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in digital campaigning, public advocacy, or communications related to social and/or environmental issues.
- Solid understanding of energy transition topics, climate justice, and broader environmental challenges.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic digital campaigns—from crafting compelling narratives to executing digital actions such as petitions, email blasts, and online mobilization efforts.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into accessible, engaging messages for diverse public audiences.
- Analytical and data-informed mindset, with the ability to evaluate digital campaign performance and make strategic decisions based on insights.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams (communications, campaigns, advocacy), and open to collaborating with grassroots communities, media professionals, and digital influencers.
- Highly creative, self-motivated, and capable of thriving in fast-paced and deadline-driven environments.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute strong, data-driven digital communication strategies and campaign narratives aligned with Trend Asia’s objectives across all social media channels. This includes designing and managing various forms of digital actions such as petitions, email blasts, story blasts, and other public engagement initiatives.
- Manage Trend Asia’s social media channels.
- Regularly read, analyze, and present digital campaign performance (insight analysis), and provide recommendations to strengthen digital strategies.
- Draft posts during Editorial Plan meetings in collaboration with members of the communications, programs, and advocacy units to develop social media messaging.
- Share and communicate the editorial plan with all Trend Asia team members.
- Produce engaging and creative digital content, and source relevant ideas and materials (e.g., photos and videos) for use on Trend Asia’s social media platforms and website.
- In coordination with the communications and program units, respond to comments and discussions across Trend Asia’s social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the campaigners, media officers, and data teams to align and amplify campaign messages.
- Build and maintain networks with social media influencers and digital communication units within the #BersihkanIndonesia movement and other online community networks to expand campaign reach.
- Work with the team to support rapid response efforts as needed.
