Search Indonesia is searching for A Program Coordinator for the “SHIFT: Strengthening Interfaith Forums and Youth Engagement in Indonesia to Promote Tolerance” project, funded by Freedom House.

PROGRAM SUMMARY

The Program Coordinator will report to the Senior Program Manager and will oversee the technical and programmatic management by leading the implementation of multi-pronged peacebuilding and media projects and developing strong collaboration with implementing partners. The position is located in Jakarta but will require some travel to remote regions.

Program Coordinator Contributions:

  • Manage program technicalities development as appropriate.
  • To assist the Senior Program Manager and Search team members in the program cycle including program start-up and close down, developing and executing work plans, preparing costed work plans, and budget management
  • To assist the Senior Program Manager in preparing any narrative progress reports to Donors and/or other key stakeholders on the implementation of program activities, any key results generated, any challenges encountered, and lessons learned from the activities implementation or interaction with government and non-government partners.
  • In close collaboration with the Finance team in accordance with standard operating procedure and donor guidelines and regulations ensure strict financial monitoring and controls of the program.
  • In close cooperation with Search staff assigned for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) prepare and produce success or most significant stories from the program activities implementation.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all program stakeholders including government, donors, media, local civil society, and partners.
  • Involved in the preparation and implementation of capacity-building activities for project partners, government institutions, and other relevant CSOs
  • Provide oversight and coordination of partners’ project implementation.
  • Ensure high-caliber program methodology across all areas of work.

Type and Nature of Contacts

  • Routinely coordinates with colleagues and consultants on-site and in the field and resolves problem situations with tact.
  • Represents, as assigned, selected programs or projects and other organizations, including donors, vendors, and international and local partners.
  • Interacts with the country office and regional staff.

Education and Experience

  • Typically, BS/BA with a minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Strong ability to effectively speak and write narratives in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Usual office environment conditions; ability to travel internationally minimally to none.
