Amnesty International Indonesia is seeking a Governance Assistant to provide administrative, coordination, and documentation support to the governance structures of the organization, including the Board, committees, management and members, as well as governance events. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth scheduling, effective communication, administration support and transparent governance processes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Governance Assistant will oversee governance meetings, facilitate communication between management, committees, and the Board, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives and timelines. This role involves managing correspondence, organizing member induction programs, maintaining governance records, scheduling Board and member meeting including overseeing meeting logistics to support smooth operations and compliance with policies.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate should have experience in administrative and governance support to the governance structure and executives, particularly in nonprofit or international organizations. Strong skills in scheduling, record keeping, management, logistics, and professional communication are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and governance-related platforms is required, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and fluency in English.

Please note that this role will only be based in Jakarta. There will be a 6-month probation period for all postholders.
