SOS Children’s Villages Indonesia is a non-governmental, non-profit social organization founded in Austria in 1949 and operating in Indonesia since 1972, with a mission to ensure that children who have lost parental care receive a loving family and home. The organization has eight villages in various cities across Indonesia and runs two main programmes: Village (childcare in foster families with foster mothers) and Family Strengthening for vulnerable families.

Mission of the Position:

The Donor Engagement and Stewardship Specialist support the Fund

Development & Communications (FDC) Director:

  • Protect children, youth and adults from all forms of mistreatment based on the best interests of the child, in accordance with duties and responsibilities.
  • Managing the engagement programs and donor journeys across the following segments: Corporate Donors, Individual Donors, Community-based Donors, and Digital Donors. This role ensures a seamless, impactful, and personalized experience for all supporters, moving them from initial connection to deepened commitment and loyalty.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (S1) in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a donor-facing fundraising role, such as: donor relations, annual giving, major gifts assistant or officer, membership/community management, corporate partnership.
  • Technical competencies (hard skills): sponsorship sales, budget management, negotiation, event management.
  • Personal competencies (soft skills): initiative and drive, interpersonal skills, stress resilience, communication.
  • Exceptional oral and written presentation skills, in both Indonesian and English, proficiency in computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
