Food for the Hungry Indonesia is an independent non-governmental organization based in Medan, North Sumatra and operates in North Sumatra Province and the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra Province. Food for the Hungry Indonesia started working in Indonesia after the December 2004 tsunami killed 283,000 people. Food for the Hungry Indonesia worked with devastated communities to help them rebuild their lives and homes. In 2011, Food for the Hungry Indonesia began a long-term development work and currently we are working to address all forms of human poverty, visible and invisible through livelihood, education, health and DRR sectors. Our purpose is graduating communities from extreme poverty.

Yayasan Fondasi Hidup (FH Indonesia) is seeking the following positions:
Development Facilitator (DF), 1 position
Location: Siberut (Mentawai, West Sumatera)
Purpose of position:
The Development Facilitator will manage and nurture relationships with shareholders and other key stakeholders within AP target communities; co-facilitate community led system sensing (system’s mapping); and co-create and deliver solutions that build resilience. By strategically aligning value exchange efforts with FH’s mission, the facilitator plays a crucial role in enhancing both the impact and sustainability of FH’s initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Social work, International Development, or a related field is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a community facilitation role and stakeholder engagement, or community development or relationship management, preferably in an NGO or development context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of community development, child sponsorship models, program coordination, and the importance of value exchange in stakeholder relations.
- Basic understanding of monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong facilitation skills in working with community groups.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to donor relations and international development.
- Computer application skills mainly MS Office, and data management.
Physical and Mental Wellbeing Specialist (PMWB), 1 position
Location: Medan, North Sumatera
Purpose of position:
This role leads program design, technical quality assurance and leadership, networking and partnership building, project/program management, monitoring, and staff capacity-building for the effective delivery of Physical and Mental Wellbeing strategies and the rollout of its technical specializations. The specialist will conduct analyses to identify priority areas and opportunities in Maternal Child Adolescent Health and Nutrition, and coordinate systemic interventions to ensure all persons have equitable access to necessary healthcare, safe and nutritious foods, and a health-enabling environment to reduce unnecessary illness and death and allow all persons to flourish to their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination in Public Health, Food science and Technology, Nutrition and dietetics or related sciences from accredited university. MSc in Public Health and/or Human Nutrition is desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working on programs that support maternal child adolescent health and nutrition programs, mental health programs and digital health innovations.
- Demonstrated experience in program design and capacity building within MCAHN, along with knowledge of mental health and psychosocial support.
- Demonstrable experience in community and health systems strengthening to sustainably improve the performance of health systems.
- Must demonstrate experience in research ideation, data demand and usage especially for MCAHN.
- Demonstrable experience in social behavior change and communication skills especially strategy development, implementation or integration.
- Experience in networking partnership building, preferably working within government structures and systems.
- Demonstrable skills in technical writing including project reports and other technical documents
- Knowledge and experience implementing programming that complies with WHO standards and guidelines for C-IMCI and MCAHN.
- Experience in System Practice knowledge and application, an asset.
