SOLIDARITY CENTER JOB VACANCIES 2023
The Solidarity Center is seeking an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer based in Jakarta to provide M&E expertise to an anticipated upcoming multi-year program. The start date would be in November or December 2023 and would be negotiable.
The M&E Officer will be responsible for monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities for anticipated upcoming program activities in Indonesia. Duties will include gathering, reporting, and analyzing performance data, as well as assessing outcomes and program impact. Some travel will be necessary.
Qualifications
This position requires strong M&E skills with an ability to monitor program activities, budgets, and program outcomes as well as write results-oriented reports. The M&E Officer must have sound judgment and a strong ability to conduct program impact analysis. Knowledge of worker rights issues, social justice issues and/or public policy advocacy in Indonesia is desirable.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in an M&E position responsible for implementing monitoring, evaluation or learning activities of international development programs.
- Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating program M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages, including experience building and maintaining working relations with stakeholders in a culturally-responsive and collaborative manner.
- Proven success in monitoring and evaluation approaches for capacity-strengthening programs.
- Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, and developing M&E and/or performance monitoring plans, as well as sustainability plans.
- Flexible and willing to travel, conduct site visits and liaise with program partners and beneficiaries;
- Ability to facilitate and serve as program liaison for externally managed evaluation or research initiatives.
- Experience working in or supporting programs in Indonesia and/or the Asia-Pacific region is preferred.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) required.
- Proficiency in Indonesian (written and spoken) and strong inter-cultural communication skills are preferred.
- Must be able to produce high quality reports in proficient English in a timely fashion.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
