Job Title: Senior Program Support Officer
The Senior Program Support Officer position will support the programmatic activities of our Indonesian team through fundraising, grant reporting, donor relationships, communications, and capacity development support. This position will be based globally, with a preference for Indonesian-based individuals (Jakarta, Bali, Pontianak or elsewhere).
THE POSITION WILL BE EXPECTED TO:
- Create high-quality proposals through an inclusive process with our international and Indonesian teams,
- Assist the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team and Site Managers to review donor targets periodically,
- Review and assist in writing high-quality grant reports,
- Present program results and findings at international conferences, forums, and/or webinars,
- Work closely with senior management teams to maintain strong positive relationships with funders,
- Provide technical support to strategic communications,
- Assist MEL in conducting baseline studies, needs assessment, and research for new program development, as required,
- Aid in scientific writing and, when relevant, lead authorship on related manuscripts and technical reports to share lessons learned and best practices,
- Identify capacity-building opportunities for international and national teams,
- Support the development and implementation of a clear fundraising strategy to match the organization’s ambitious growth and scaling plan,
- Support a wide variety of programmatic areas from marine and terrestrial to ex-situ and enforcement work,
- Participate in fundraising & communications agile working product teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred a Master’s degree in a relevant field of experience plus 3-5 years of relevant experience in conservation/sustainable development in a developing country,
- Preferred more than 5+ years of relevant work experience
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to spend periods in rural areas while conducting fieldwork

- Data management skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Intermediate Bahasa Indonesia (or willing to participate in courses to learn)
LOCATION & BENEFITS:
- This position will be contracted through Planet Indonesia – USA (501c3) and based globally and/or remotely.
- We will prioritize individuals living in Indonesia or willing to relocate to Bali or another part of Indonesia.
- For US citizens, benefits will be based on our benefits system for US-based staff on payroll (W2 employees)
- For non-US citizens, benefits will be based on our foreign contractor (18% of the total) benefits system.
Salary will be based on experience.
Note individuals who are a good fit for the position but who do not meet all the requirements may be offered a Program Support Officer position with the potential to grow into the Senior Program Support Officer role
